Blues & Pinks
Most of the below were taken in winter in Svalbard. Winter is my favourite season as far as colours are concerned: the hues of pinks, purple and blues, soft and pastel-like, make the awe-inspiring landscape even moe whimsical. Added to that the pure white of snow, the different shapes of ice slowly melting, then freezing up again on a colder day, Svalbard seems even quieter and otherworldly than it usually does.
Winter in Svalbard is a bit more of a challenge for wildlife: most birds haven't returned yet, whales are also on their way, polar bears are further inland and harder to get to, but the beauty of the lanscape makes up for it.
